Our family sponsorship applied by my sister for parents was approved and additional documentation for PR was submitted on local visa office of New Delhi in January 2013 along with the passport. I was already in Canada pursuing my studies so couldn't submit my passport and as per the email from the immigration officer, I didn't submitted by passport until further notice but submitted other documentation because Indian law doesn't allow passport to be mailed. My dad got phone call from CIC asking for my passport in June 2013. I took flight and submitted passport last week of June. No response from them yet. I have my classes starting in September in Canada for my final year. How long should I wait? What should I do since they are on strike as well. Sufficient documentation have already been provided stating I have classes in September for my final year. No response to my emails from CIC either. What should I do?

Replied to you in parents thread from last time ( maybe u missed it )

You shouldn't have gone back and had someone take your passport to India to begin with - now there is no timeframe as such -it can take a while, but if you need your PP, you can try and email them - better yet call them and say this is your situation, can you come and pick it up and will send PP later ( see what they say and let us know too )

Still the best answer - and things have gone worse now so very very hard to say

They hang up on me over the phone and no reply on the emails either. I made a big mistake, I should have sent PP with an authorized person. Now am stuck.

They hang up? you could try going to ND and talk to them but if your case is not done then you will need to sent PP back to India again via a relative -its a mess for sure

My mom-in-law is so damn worried fr me...finally she gave her verdict on ths whole issue saying

"PUTTAR SB KUCH HO JANA HAI THIK..ENNA GOREYA DA SYAPA HOYA PEYA...PATA NAI ENA MOYA NE KOI KAMM KRNA HAI K NAI...J NAI KRNA SAADE BNDEYA NU LAO TE GAL TE MITTI PAO..."

Ths certainly elevated my mood...n i ended up smiling

Nope haven't received ppr yet.
