Guys, honestly it's not legal to hold somebody's passport for so long. Please tweet if u have a twitter account. I been twitting but no response so far.

hey guys anyone got the passport back after stamping visa,,,,,,,my status shows application recieved ........from last three months ,,,i had sent the passport on 7th march ,,,,,,how much tym it will take ,,,,m loosing my patience now

don't worry they are still end of November 2012 application working and stamped visa doesn't matter they received passport for December application

Just a thought:

May be CIC NDVO processes files based on the date of medical submission.

I think this because the only 2013 applicant hm82 who got visa so far had his medical done in october 2012.....and even 2012 applicants have just reached people wid medical done in november....

I agree... they are kind of stopping us from traveling...Whole process is very frustrating....We pay what they ask for...they are not doing this for free....why they cannot deliver their promises...
I wish if they could understand...someone who applied for PR can wait...but for the newly married couple this is all very frustrating and stress full... on the some forum i have read how everything changes with the delay in people's life... there should be a reasonable time limit for this process...some people are waiting for more than years for no reason nothing.

Hi All,

I am new to this group and have a quick query.

Around 25 days back, my spouse received an email with the following. However, there was no attachment to it.

Dear Applicant,

Please find attached correspondence which refers to your application for permanent residence.

After realizing that there seems to be some delays, I started investigating. Some people in the forum had the same problem. I have mailed the consulate and they have sent an automated msg saying it may take 28days to reply. For people who faced the same problem, I need some guidance.

1) Do they really take so much time to reply? What should be my next step. Please recommend.
2) If this was a passport request, I believe they have 30days for submission, but I believe by the time they will reply, I would have crossed that time. What shall I do? Is it a matter of concern?

Please suggest.

It looks like they forgot to attach the .PDF or you may want to check again the original mail in your spouse's email id. Try the link below someone had same situation like you...

haha We Wish.....and this is not about getting VISA or Canada.. it is more about to be with your soul mate...unfortunately as we all know,.. first sacrifice Canada ask for is to give up your relatives..parents...

I think we should make an online petition and send that CIC ... If other countries can get the entire procedure done in couple of months Y can't canada do the same
