Hi Friends,

My work permit has been filed by my company here in India for a intra company transfer to Canada. Dependant visa is applied for my wife. The passport has reached New Delhi on 15th March. When i check my status it is still shown as In Progress for the past 5 weeks. I learnt that Canada foreign officers are on rule to job action. Is it a cause for the delay.

Pls let me know incase if you get any information regarding the delays?

Hi Reeyan,

I have gone through many posts of Senior members and learnt that every case is unique and is different from each other. NDVO is working on the basis of the Guidelines. 10 months if they have given for processing application in India, it doesn't mean you will get approval after 10 months.

Its just a time given for processing of your application. Normally these days NDVO taking 4-6 months. You will receive good news soon before June.

Don't think of August.Think positive, may be you will receive your passport back with visa by first week of May.

Just have patience and God will surely bless you with speedy visa process.

Thanks so much. You made me feel so much better now. I have been thinking positive but It is taking more time then it should. My app is straight forward except if they are looking at my partner's travel history. He travels alot for his business but every trip is not more then 2 weeks. No criminal record and its clean.. I am eagarly waiting for my partner to be here in Toronto and start a new life this summer..

I hope to hear good news before June then.......

They do not send email before.
But give you a hint by updating the applicants address to your address in canada in E-CAS and also by changing applicant's E-CAS to Decision Made.
They send by registered post from New Delhi

I think that it being a registered post, the post man will require ur signature on the receipt...I think it will not be just dropped off into ur mailbox

I see some who had submitted their passports in Feb 2013 have received their visas. Am i reading the charts right ?

Its entirely NDVO decision to request passport at early stage of the process or nearing completion stage.
If you say a person was requested passport in Feb and already issued a COPR , that makes me think passport was requested near the completion of the process.
There are several factors which account for that. So please do not confuse yourself with those timelines.

If your application is good , you should be getting back your passports shortly with good news.
