Finally its a great relief today... my eCas status changed to "Decision Made" and inside it says, "started processing your application on September 2, 2013". Hopefully my wife will receive her passport soon...
Good luck to you all... thanks to all you guys who supported me during this painful wait... I wish speedy processing to all of you..

I have checked my e-cas like 5 times today in 5 hours...lol!!!

not as bad as compared to me..I check 10 times a day even though I still haven't received my PPR yet..just wondering if status goes to 'in process' even if I haven't sent my passport..

don't worry hopefully your notes will tell if u got ppr or not....if not don't worry they will ask for it and within no time u will get the visa.........i got my ppr after 3 months of application...

Hello Sks13 ,

congratulations. You are lucky yours was done within 6 months in spite of strike We are still waiting for Passport Request Jan 2013 applicants. Did your husband had travel history...I don't understand why cases at NDVO are processed randomly.I think they give priority to Indian Nationality. Everywhere same thing here Canadian government is not taking this case seriously after all we are second class citizens. It really doesn't matter to government and Pafso if our application are held for years and years.

He didn't have any travel history. But I think the biggest thing that helped our case, is we lived together as husband and wife in India for over 4 years and have two children together. I think to visa officers it shows a genuine relationship, because if he was just looking to get to Canada, why live in India for 4 years together first. In that sense our case it pretty open and shut. Again I can't say for sure how these officers work, but this is just my feeling.
