Met my local MP today, luckily MP's rep was on phone with CIC at that time itself so got an immediate update.
While my e-cas has no updates.
CIC said the Medical and Background check was in process and not updated on the database yet.
The PPR has not been sent and there were no other objections on the file. Just procedural delays.
Hi Schwrizer, even I am thinking to meet my local MP... can you please let me know the procedure to meet local MP. Firstly how to know who is my local MP. What do we need to take along with us when we go for meeing them?

I just wanted to let you all know that my husband received his passport today with visa and landing papers after seeing Decision Made on Monday. And just another fyi..his address never changed to Canada on his Ecas- so it's not something to worry about.

He'll be flying to Canada September 14th.

Thank you all for the support and i wish you all a speedy process. I have no idea how he got his visa in the middle of this strike, but we are thankful and looking forward to a bright future.

He'll be home in time for both kids birthdays :D

Congrats skas wish u happy gud married life

Hey guys!

I have an issue!
I contacted my lawyer today, and he said it's ok to apply for gcms notes, as he is representing me, he would request them on my beahlf. He would also send a letter of acknowledgement stating why we are requesting for those notes; without this letter, if I request gcms notes, it will slow down the processing of my case. I do not want that to happen. So, the cost for gcms notes will be $500. That's way too much.
I heard the same thing from someone else.
Should I go ahead and apply on my own or not. Correct me if I'm wrong, I read on this forum that the cost is only $5 not $500. I don't want the processing of my case to slow down. Arjun also mentioned the same thing about gcms.
Even on the website it states the processing times. and if we don't hear anything, that's when we should be contacting NDVO.
What to do ????????????????

It is $5 not $500...and ur processing time is normal...it is too early for you to apply for notes... there is no need right now...But again u can always request them anytime...

THIS WILL NOT SLOW THE PROCESS...IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT..IT IS A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR FILE IN THEIR SYSTEM.... GCSM REQUESTS GOES TO OTTAWA

let me guess ur lawyer is a Desi...u dont need him to appy for notes...follow the following link...

Hi , I have a question, when you guys got that "interview waved out or recommended "in your GCMS notes... so these words are written by Mississauga or from Delhi..thanks

Hey, you can call and schedule a meeting with the MP by calling their office. All MPs have their constituency office in their electoral area.
They will ask for the reason, and you can state that it is for a status update on your spousal sponsorship application.
I knew who the MP in my case was, in your case, you can look up your MP based on the neighbourhood you live in. http://www.parl.gc.ca/Parlinfo/Compilations/HouseofCommons/MemberByPostalCode.aspx?Menu=HOC

I did not have to take anything along with me. They just asked me to bring the UCI and File Number.

ok thanks.. but on mine GCMS notes... note from delhi is " passport received.."
but note from Mississauga is " spr is cc... never sponsered before.. however no MOC concerns.'

MOC means Marriage of Convenience ( u r not doing any fraud). means they r ok with ur marriage
