I am sorry about your situation maplegal :(
I really hope and pray they start working on your application and soon you will be in Canada...
good luck! :)

Thanks! I hope so too.

Just need to keep making our voices heard. The news cares only about lost revenue from tourism, students, business. Family Class especially spouses and children don't seem to be their concern.

I know you mean well, but please look at my timeline. I submitted my passport 10 months ago.

I really dont care if it is a matter of 2 weeks or 2 days. I want them to start working on our applications.

They cannot just throw us in a corner to make sure the money bags get to come into the country on time.
hi maplegal86, is your case straight-forward? i mean any problem in medical , marriage docs, forms? do u know the cause of the delay?

My case is as straight as an arrow. Husband and I dated for 6 years. Got married in the traditional way with lots of family. Both families were present, same religion, same caste. Both equally educated. I studied in the US. Husband has been gainfully employed since he landed as he went through the Skilled Worker Program sponsored by his current employer. No issues in medical. No issues with docs. No criminal convictions. Hell I've never even cheated on an exam!

The issue is that my file was plain and simple forgotten. We discovered this when we ordered GCMS notes.

How can a file be 'forgotten' in the technology age? Go figure.

Weird is an understatement. I submitted my passport October 2012. 10 months.

sorry i dont mean to hurt u, but i am so surprised with the way visa officers handle files. even straight-forward case taken this way. not only visa officers, also ministers are like that. i checked Tim Edwards n Tony Clement's twitter..same blabber, same word fight going on

Don't worry, I'm not hurt. :)

It will be over soon. Miracles do happen in this world.

If you guys check the spreadsheet of 2012 applicants, there were only 2 - 3 applicants who got DM in july and AUG. Most of the applicants got DM in Sept,OCt and Nov. Clearly they give priority to student's & tourists at this time of the year. I am pretty sure next month, lot of applicants will get DM. So we need to just stay calm.

Has anyone seen this news; it is few days old but check it out; his wife got PPR from NDVO probably in April/May;
good for him-he is still relatively calm

Sure. But if you are not getting PR this month, won't this create problem to ur admission.? I hope this week I could manage to get Student Visa. MP from Canada send one letter to embassy with student visa application.

Sure it will..bt I really didnt want to complicate the case.. and give them impression that we r applying for pr to reduce the tuition fee.. so the only option is to start program from jan then.

It's long weekend here in Canada. Nothing happens on long weekends here. Except a Twitter fight between TB and union lol
