TEL AVIV - As foreign service officers at 15 major Canadian embassies walk off the job, some employees are beginning to get frustrated with the apparent lack of progress in the ongoing Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) strike.

“As it draws on it gets frustrating and that’s been the feeling all along, but we want to talk about it,” said First Secretary Kristin Janson at a small cafe in Tel Aviv.

Janson is one of 1,350 non-executive-level diplomats affected by rolling strikes and work-to-rule campaigns ordered by PAFSO. The union has called for equal pay for equal work. They claim foreign service employees make up to $14,000 less than public servants doing the same job.

I really hope they call us before my medical expires. My medical expires in Sep so, Hopefully god will help us.

Atleast they have been calling people from 2012 whos medical is expiring soon....

The government SHOULD meet halfway and be reasonable with PAFSO after 3/6 conditions were met.

The government NEEDS to be fair as well

Relax buddy....take out your frustration on PAFSO thn on already frustrated forum members... we are all here for the same reason....OMG discussing three lines about Canada economy will not hijack this forum......we were not talking Bollywood but our future country.

everyone is getting frustrated.....government of canada really doesnt care about immigrants for sure ....hope some one gets visa soon...abhi toh 2012 vaaley line mein kharey hain
