OMG OMG OMG FINALLY GOT MY PASSPORT with VISA My Ecas stopped working for past three weeks and I called and was told that the system is down. Then yesterday the post man came and it was my passport with VISA!!! Omg thank you Allah!!! I am so happyyyy. The wait is finally over for us! We applied in May 2013 so it took 23 and half months!!! I wish all the rest of 2013 applicants luck! Don't lose hope it will come soon! Thank you all for all your updates and help!!!

Congratulations! Happy for you. Hope rest of the 2013 applicants get visa soon. It has been a long wait.

Congrats !!! so happy for you ! Enjoy each and every moment! i was just wondering what yr ECAS was showing when u were checking it and who did you call and were told that the system was down . This information may give some more hope to people like us who are waiting.....it seems like this is never going to end..

Thank you all for your wishes! I pray and hope the rest of 2013 applicants get their visa soon! Well my ecas went down three weeks before I get my visa. My husband called the call centre in Canada and was told the system is down and are working on it. Then I got my visa three weeks later and until today my ecas never worked! I really wanted to see that decision made but never got to see it. My husband did 5 MP enquiries in 4 months! Honestly these enquiries do help speed up your Process! Let me know if u need any other questions answered! Good luck everyone!

Did u do any MP enquiry? When I did MP inquiry they said they will clear backlog by the end of April but I guess that was a plain lie. Well I guess they are doing pretty good job at ruining marriages

SSingh , do u have an extensive travel history? We are also stuck in back ground checks since last sept.....all my husband ever did was study in this country ie canada for 8 months and they want background check for that too..which they apparently do on their own ...incapable a#$%&^*&^*e's
