Thanks pavan and pooja. I have already submitted pcc for india at the time of my application but at that time i was resident of another country so i got pcc for india from the indian embassy of that country. Just wondering if ndvo may ask for another pcc for india since am now living in india.

ITs impossible. Without passport u cannot able get your PCC. If NDVO ask for re-PCC then they will send ur passport back.

It is possible at all. I had recently send my Canadian PCC and as well as Indian PCC to the High Commission. NDVO has my passport since November.
I took the photo copies of my passport and submitted all the required documents along with it to get the fresh PCC.
I had found later on that in first PCC which i had obtained from authorities , it had some mistake in the travelling history which they have written in it.
So i got the other one without even being asked any document.

But i was very fidget about this. BCZ they had asked me to aubmit my passport, landing fees and PCC in November 2013. After that they didnt ask me anything.
So i had taken some advise from the senior members earler those were in this forum , bcz i dont wanted to end up in any lurch. So i applied for it to the RCMP. After receiving RCMP PCC i told my lawyer , that i received my RCMP PCC, then he said if you want to send it your RCMP PCC you can send it.

I had received my Canadian PCC within 20 days. By the time my wife had applied to renew her Canadian passport with her new surname on it. She got her passport and i requested to my lawyer to make the covering letter for us, so that we can intimate to NDVO about this,he made the covering letter for me and i have submitted few more documents which were not even being asked by NDVO.
This time i had sent the down below documents to NDVO
RCMP PCC , fresh INDIAN PCC ,My wife's new Passport copy, chat history of whats app, emails conversation, money exchange receipts, gretting cards,
gift cards, phone bills history, skype history.

I found that sometime we shouldnt depend on our lawyer what he/she says. Sometime we need to take important decisions by our own.
I am prying for all those are in the waiting queue .

Agree with u. We have to take decision . We should not depend on layers. Them's if and but may cost few month or years of our life.

I knew it is written in the website. There are two types of PCC which we get. One is from the passport office and other is from our local police station , which will be issued by the Senior Police commandent. I got my PCC form the Police station after submitted all the attested photo copies of my orignal documents. I had told them that my passport is already with NDVO and i got it.

Guys I have few doubts .....

My husband has done MP inquiry. .. he has told that we need to submit PCC...Bt thy hvnt cleared whoz PCC is required bt as per my husband....might my PCC s only required.....now only NDVO knws ...as I hvnt got any update frm dem......its been 10 months no another update except d application recvd.....now m worried. ...My Medical is gonna gt expire on 27th july.....

another thing s ..I hvnt gt PCC as i am frm Gujarat ...Neither frm Passport office nor frm Police station ....as to obtain PCC I require letter frm Canadian high commission stating d same.....I hv gt letter of submitting passport bt in dat dey hv not clearly mentioned .....

M really depressed. ....Anyone frm Gujarat. ...

pls help in dis situation as I am getting more nervous after MP inquiry........Thanks

Didnt you submit the PCC along with your application?
Anyway I dont think one is required any letter from Consulate to initiate the PCC. You just have to state the reason in their PCC application form like why you need PCC. Check on Gujarat Police official site if they have such form available...atleast Pune Police have that from where I did my PCC.

...also PCC is required only for Principal Applicant not the Sponsor.

I suggest u to do the PCC from local police station and told them that ur passport is already with NDVO. Because if u try to get ur PCC from PSK (passport seca kendra) then,they may ask u for original passport.

Just visit ur local police station. They will guide You. I am frm gujarat/ (ahmd)

In other Cases

NDVO May send ur passport back with the letter (or they will call u) in which mention that u have to submit ur PCC. (it happen in early cases Specially for re-PCC's)

i got pvc from comi offi shahibaug i m also from ahmedabad
