I have completed PR landing for my 4 yr child , landed as inland on 24-May-2012 at Tsawwassen - Point Roberts, WA Border Crossing (Boundary Bay). Reached to the Border Check post by bus (601) from Ladner Exchange in Vancouver got off at the last but one stop and walked to the US immigration/Customs and the handed over the passports of mine, my wife and my child. We all three have a US B1/B2 valid visa as well. Officer asked me the reason for my visit and I told I am here to complete PR landing for my child and told that I and mY wife are already Canadian PR's. US immigration officer took 10 minutes after verifying my PR card and my wife PR card then gave me white slip with a note "Flag Pole" asked me to handover the note to Canada Immigration.Returned to Canadian Immigration by walk, just a next building( 2 minute walk) . Except for Cars, there was only one other person with his family there to complete PR landing as inland. He said he was here in Canada on Work permit.
It took less than 10 minutes complete the Landing process at Canada Immigration for my Child. No Documents asked and one question asked about any criminal offences if the applicant has. Point Roberts - Tsawassen Border crossing is very easily be reachable and No waiting at all. Both US and Canada Immigration officials are friendly and helpful.
You don't need a US VISIT VISA to complete the PR landing if you are already in Canada. I had asked the US immigration officer if they had stamped any entry on our passports. He clearly stated that technically we are not landed in US side so no entry is made and he said if I wanted to get into US side he asked me to come back after the PR process is completed, so that he can issue a I-94, as we all three have B1/B2 Visit visa.
