I think the past 2 weeks have gone according to a message board poster that said things would slow down until May 25th and pick up again afterwards. He obviously had some inside information.

What is this message board poster?? is there any specific reason that things will be slow till may 25th??? :(

The re-medical thingis not done that quickly.

Several posters on this board have sent back their remedicals and not received passport for 2 months.

True, again, with NDVO everything is all over the place. There is no fixed timeline, I was just quoting the lowest time I have seen (1 month)

Guys...Question to those who did their re-medicals...

Did u all send NDVO a physical or e-mail copy of your receipts or just let the diagnostics send the report directly?

clinic sends the reports directly and you send a copy of receipts of payment proof along with a cover letter and passport if not sent already..

has your status gone to 'in process'? or is it still 'application received'? it has been 11 months bit longer than usual. Have you applied for notes to see if 'interview has been recommended'?

Had my interview today....was scheduled for 10.30am
I was at the High Commission at 9.30am, and they called me for interview at about 10.45am. I went alone as wife was in Canada. A white middle aged lady took my interview. She was cordial and heard out what I wanted to say. She didnt ask any dates as such...only the marriage date and how many days we stayed together after marriage. Whenever she asked me a question, I went all out and explained in detail. She was kind enough and very patient with me. Her queries were more about our relationship and how it blossomed, and why we did'nt marry before my wife got PR and why we could not stay with each other for more time after marriage, where did my wife work while in India, and questions mostly surrounding my wife's career in India etc.. Finally, she asked proof of communication I and gave about 350 pages transcripts of whatsapp and skype, which she looked just once and gave back and out of the blue told me that she is satisfied and that she is going to approve for visa.. :D and she gave me back the photographs which i had sent with my application and she said that she is going to keeping the Passport and will check for medical expiry and will let me know in a few days....And it was over! took about 50 minutes!

I went back to the hotel and thought of spending the day out in Old delhi and at about 2.45 pm, when I was near the Red Fort area, got a call from the HighCommission, and the guy, Richard asked me if I could land before June 10th! I was confused as I have some pending works to do... and was not sure it will be complete by that time. He reassured me and told me to get back by tomorrow and let him know my decision, and if I cant then they will send a remedical letter. He said not to take any risk and rush, as if i cant land before that it wont be possible to extend it.. (The call got disconnected once and he called me back again in 5 minutes and explained patiently.. as the mobile reception in that area was really bad). So have to inform him tomorrow that I am looking for remedical.... thats the story of today! Relieved and truly excited!! :D ;) :D ;)

So, people just be confident in the interview and let them know you have a true relationship! Best of luck and hope this helps!

Congratulations allot dear... It really help for upcoming Candidates like me to boost up our confidence level... Manny-Manny congratulations again dear....

My wife is saying that since I have a travel history by which she means that in the last 6 years I have been to 6 to 7 countries that's why they aren't asking for my passport.this thingh is killing me
Your timeline is not known. It is not in the excell sheet So iam unable to comment on that. When the letter was sent during Jan14 the letter was a bit not clear some did not send the passport some sent it as a routine.
Sending the passport earlier is no way makes the process faster. Atleast you can visit places in between if need arise which others who sent the passport are not able to do.
Frequent travel obviously make the process longer compared to nil travel or less travel as they need not have to look or check the data. Already they are taking such a long period so this does not make an issue If the travel is more than 6 months obtaining PCC from the courntry makes us delay while applying. Please do not worry on not asking the passport Atleast you will get get the hit that they process your file when they ask for the passport Others do not have that option. Pl take it as a positive point in your favour.
Wife is tensed due to delay. be positive. repose confidence. Every one is going through this torture. The end is always sweet. Wishing you all the best.

I did not send any copy of the receipt because the panel physician told me that I don't have to send anything. I did MP enquiry and they informed me that the medical has been received and updated. Did the hospital people tell you to send anything?

Exactly the hospital people told me the same thing that i don't need to send anything. But if you are doubtful then you can send it so that at least you are sure. Most probably they must have received it. Why don't you check with the hospital?

as far as I know, they don't update remedicals information....if they already have your passport, you don't have to do anything....

A HUGE WEEKEND FOR ME GUYS, HERE'S THE STORY:

- My wife's status went to "in-process" on Saturday May 17 (We started processing your application on May 14, 2014.)

- On Monday May 19 she got a call from the Canadian Embassy in Chandigarh confirming her date of birth, full name, and address. As well, they asked her if she can travel to Canada before June 8 (as her medicals expire that day), she said "YES!!!!!!!"

- She got a call today May 20 at 12 noon asking her to pick up her passport from the Canadian Embassy in Chandigarh before 2pm and she went in 10 minutes (as she lives in Chandigarh) and picked it up ! ! ! ! ! ! !

- They returned all our photographs along with the passport with the Canadian visa in it, online status still says "in process"

SUPER SUPER EXCITED AS THIS TORTURE HAS FINALLY ENDED ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I WISH EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CASE :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Congrats... finally your wait is over! Wish you happy times ahead
