yeah hope they dont create any problems for my visit..all the best with your file

being a PR you have to go back to meet PR requirements (unless you have already met the requirements..then again you would have to renew PR card and have to meet requirements again) so I don't understand the need to prove intention to go back..for citizen it is a different case since they can reside in other countries permanently....my lawyer said there is no requirement to go back once I got my sponsorship approved....

Hello Guys,

I called the MP yesterday regarding my visit to India in June since I am a PR. I told her that I might stay about a month or so and she said that there might not be any problem. The immigration is looking if my intention is to come back to Canada or not. So I said that i have my permanent job here and my employer is willing to give me a vacation for month. She said that as long as I can prove that my intention is come back to canada that is fine. Infact she said that it is good that i am planning visit since it proves that we are in a genuine relationship.

All the best for everyone for speedy visa . the waiting period is painful.

how would they know for how long you have been to India since there is no exit stamp in Canada, and how would they know you have been with your wife or with friends or on a fun trip, I think they should allow us to update them in between procedure as its a year long process, previously it was 2-3 months process, so nobody was updating,

actually I am asking as I am totally confused if I should send them additional proofs for my husband's visit and stay with me or not, my lawyer said a big NO for it.

Today we got re-medicals request from NDVO.
No passport request yet.
We are thinking to send passport with the medicals.
Any suggestions guys?

Finally you got a letter for the re medicals. i think its okay to send passport with the re medicals. Wish you a speedy visa!

...and after a month of being 'In Process', I receive the re-meds letter. Although the going is slow, I am pleased there is progress. We have to look at the silver lining ...don't we?

Application recevied by CIC - July 5th
Medicals done - June 16th
Aor Received - July 21st
Mississauga Approval - August 6th
Passport request - September 11th
Ecas Status - Application received, Medical results has been received

Welcome to the forum.
You still have time for 2 more months until your medicals expire so dont worry. You will surely get visa sooner before your medicals expire. Just stay strong and be positive. Wish you a speedy IP!

Hi Neha-

did your husband returned back to Canada from his visit? if that is the case MP advised me to mail the boarding passes and any pictures taken for the visit so that it proves that its more genuine relationship.

When you send them an email write urgent in the subject line. It is written on their website. So if you write "URGENT" and send them email explaining them that your passport has expired and you need the passport back so that you can renew the passport and you will submit the renewed passport back to them. I believe for sure you will receive a reply or a phone call to come and collect the passport.

but there is an entry stamp in india. and entry stamp in US also if passing by US.

Seven months since application received and ecas still shows 'application received'. Had already sent in the PCC and medicals seven months back along with the application forms.

I see fellow members have more detailed info on their ecas.

Should I be worried?

And they let me hold on to my passport since I do not currently live in India. Does a second PPR stretch it a whole lot longer or by a few days?

What is your timeline? I know they are working on july applications now and so far they touched one August applicant...i am assuming you are September applicant..in that case i think you might hear good news in june..all the best

Hello Zeel,

Welcome to the forum. Could you tell us your full timeline? Thanks. You are an August applicant so you will probably hear good news in early May so hopefully. They are still processing on Julys now and older files. Dont worry! Its better to wait until your spouse gets visa and then you can visit your spouse and come back together to Canada. Have some patience. All the best for the speedy visa!
