Nothing really. After Medicals, background and security checks are completed, the file is ready for visa.

Hi, I am planning to sponsor my spouse, however I am confused to apply as INLAND or OUTLAND, even after knowing that INLAND application would take longer time.

My spouse already has a visitor visa (multiple entry).

I am thinking to apply as Inland applicant, just to avoid the travel to India when the passport is requested and have to wait for 4-6 months to get the immigrant visa stamped.

Having said that, while the application is being processed INLAND, can my spouse travel to india and return back to Canada - (assuming the re-entry is allowed)?

Please suggest, which is better to apply?

I don't really know how Inland application works. If you apply from Inland and you have to submit your wife's passport, how will she leave to go to India? Unless you write to the visa office and tell them to ask for the passport later on in the processing. This way she can go back and forth.
As you wife had multiple entry visit visa, you can apply inland while she stays with you during the processing. I suggest you to look up the INLAND process to see when they usually ask for the visa.

I done interview 13 feb at chandigarh after interview visa officer return my all document + pic+pp I ask why u return my pp she told me this is our processes I am worry my medical still valid until march any senior ans plz

Hi there, need help I just done my interview at chandigarh on 13 feb officer return my all document with pic and pp as well she told me within a week they send me letter today I just check my case shown they said in process but they don have a my pp is they going to send me a letter plz let me know my medical expire on march

That is normal. Keep an eye on ECAS for DM. The VO will surely also contact you regarding the visa.
All the best and I hope you get a positive DM soon. Once you get it, they will ask you to go to the visa office to stamp your visa then and there.

one more month to go and my medicals will expire...NDVO should have informed me if there is an interview since they usually give a month's time to get ready for interview...so far nothing....at this stage, I have no idea if I would get a passport request or not; if there will be an interview or not; anything will be done or not before my medicals expire; I hope I will get some answers soon otherwise this suspense can't go on for many more months..next month I will get my notes and hope it will give some answers.

You must be so frustrated with NDVO... Can't understand why they seem to be ignoring your application. I don't think you will get an interview because you are living with your wife right now which shows genuine relationship. Hope your GCMS will give further answers.

my frnd was feb 2013 applicant and got visa in july, just 5months it took to complete the process. her husband (sponsor) was a quebec resident..how is this fast processing possble? or is there any special timeline or visa officer responsible to process quebec applicants file..? any idea

Maybe his case was straight forward? As far as I know, there is no difference in NDVO where you have applied from as all applications go to CIC-M.

NDVO will contact you with further details. We can only guess about the decision and hope it is good news.
You had the interview on Feb 12 and got direct DM. The interviewer was rude (as they always are) but returned the passport which is normal for Chandigarh.

Had you applied for GCMS before your interview? Were all the checks done?

there is one more person in this forum whose situation is similar to yours..he/she applied in feb and still waiting....check desi-girl's spreadsheet...do you have a long travel history or stayed in one or more countries more than 6 months? then background checks might take longer...

I sent about 15 hard copies and then printed out about 35 on publications with explanations....now they want Original copies of photos!

Going to send close to 200 now

so by sending 200 pics, you are going to make them feel sorry that they asked you for more photos...lol

thanks desi-girl..whether there is interview or not, whether they want to give visa or deny, I just want the process to be transparent - why the delay in processing my file? why they haven't asked for passport? if I know how long it will take to get some answer, I can plan accordingly. I can't be in India indefinitely as it affects my PR status...

Not sure what it is about, few of June applicants already got DM but their medical expires in April & others like me, medical expires on march 10 but no update yet

Im a june 27 applicant and no updates yet. My ecas status still shows "application received" and there is no medical received confirmation on ecas although my wife submitted it with the initial application. Is your ecas status shows "in process" ? I dont know what's going on with my application.
