In May 2013 Submitted my application for PR application for my Child to Mississauga Office. In June 2013 they sent the application to New Delhi. My Child is already on a TRP in Canada. Receved a letter from High Commission Canada in New Delhi on July to submit the Original Passport, Police Clearance and Right of Landing Fee. Replied back to them that my child is just 2 years old, so she is exempted from Police Clearance as well as of the Right of Landing Fee as published in their Guide to application for Sponsership. For the Original Passport submission to New Delhi in Inda, how can we do that as she is already in Canada on TRP. Send them all the photocopies for the passport with the TRP. Did not hear anything back from them. On the website application status still shows Application Received June 2013. Tried to call the Immigration Section in New Delhi, but the Call center only says to send a letter or an email and they will reply back. I have send them email waited 2 months, send them the letter waited 4 months, still no reply. Tried calling CIC in canada they say to call India or contact them via letter / email.

Is this the normal process that it takes so long. As few people were informing us that Child sponership is pretty fast and it gets done within 2-3 months.

I am worried as the status online since June 2013 is Application received.

Have any one submitted their child passport to Canadian High Commission in New Delhi when the child is in Canada on a TRP?

I dont wana get suffer and waste my time if they will ask me for the PCC from canada.
Could you plz advise me how to obtain the PCC from there??

I was already in canada when I got my rcmp clearance... They took my fingerprints there only... Don't listen to any lawyer... You have to send pcc from canada... To be on safer side just send it to them as soon as possible... Do u have any relatives there ?? just ask them to find out for u from rcmp ...

I agree. One of my friend was in student visa an NDVO asked for RCMP clearance. I think they do it themselves only for those who visited on tourist visa.

Chacha Chaudry, it is a time taking process. So, try to do it soon.

Hi Chams,

As you medical expired, did they ask you to do re-medical?

My friend's lawyer also said the same and when NDVO asked he said they have to do it.

Below is the link for RCMP website. If you scroll down you will see outside Canada process.

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm
If you are OUTSIDE OF CANADA :

contact the nearest police force which offers fingerprinting services. The RCMP will accept fingerprint forms from foreign countries that contain the following:

rolled and flat impressions of all ten fingers taken with black ink
full name, date of birth and sex of the applicant
the name and address of the police agency
the signature of the official taking the fingerprints

Hi SidhuBTI, no they didn't asked for re-medicals yet. When we checked through our MP, they responded saying they may extend it to 3 more months, if they want.

You don't need to unless they tell u

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp

Folks lived here for 3+ years on visit visa, CIC did their own RCMP trace - only in some cases they ask applicants to do RCMP or call to ND for fingerprinting

I got my wife's rcmp clearence done few months ago. There are private companies in india they take fringerprints there and they deal with rcmp. We got ours within a month.
