Hi All,

Good morning ...Hope all doing great......and keeping fingers crossed on the process part.
I am also done with the application filling just have few queries:

1) IMM1344E_Application_to_Sponsor_Agreement_Undertaking.
Do I need to have 2 forms - as i am sponsoring to my wife and kid.
Or One form is sufficient , wife being Principal Applicant.
Please advise.

2) IMM5481E_Sponsorship_Evaluation
Option C from Canada Revenue Agency.
T4 form is not available with me as i recently came back from india and landed a job few weeks back.
Shall I submit our Form 16 Indian Tax part.

3) IMM5481E_Sponsorship_Evaluation
Last 12 months salary, since I was in India till october.......
considering the 12 month salary comes to 20,000 CAD ..will this be okie ? to produce or write it in the form
Section: 3 Your net personal income....

or Do i need to show more amount ( as i am sponsoring it for wife and kid).

4) Do u know any one coming from india in couple of days ...just need those application from my wife who is in Bangalore
or I need to go with courier.

Appreciate your time.
Have a nice day

I think you should go through the eligibility criteria and there they do mention how much you should have and all...are you not staying a long time? If you do not have a long history its going to be a problem..I would suggest use a lawyer or a consultant to see if you will qualify as they might reject as saying you do not have enough funds.....
you need to have a good history they are basically looking at if you are able to support your spouse or not?

Well the only thing that it shows is we received your file on April 18th
and we started your application process on 1st November. So it does not say anything on the medicals and all....Just 2 lines.....

Well I had sent an email on my behalf the sponsorer on oct 17 and the email they sent back was we canot release any information since I am not declared as the rep
they took like more than a month for that reply
then I just sent an email again from my wifes side and waiting for the reply so it will be months time
hopefully it becomes DM then

I am scared that if I tell my MP to get information they will again say that he is not appointed as the rep for the applicant so cant release information...
Does the MP need to have be appointed as a representative to request the details?

Thats strange.
And your MPs office can simply do a quick enquiry on your behalf and get a reply within 24-48 hours. They should be able to do this...atleast. I did an enquiry through my MPs office and they responded back within 2 days....told me where the file was stuck..so go for it. If there is any paper work required...your MPs office will tell you about it..so dont worry.

Dont delay...call them today and get the ball rolling my friend. If they decline to do so.....let them know if you have friends and they were able to get all the info through their MP office.

Yes..you can do minister enquiry. This is absolutely ridiculous.Whats taking so long on these security checks? ur not a criminal...and u have submitted ur PCC.

Send an email to minister @ cic.gc.ca and meet up with ur MPs office. Let them know this is not normal...unless u have some special case!
Alright. I sent an email to minister seeking an explanation and an appointment. Let's see what we get. :-\
Thanks Zormas.

Chams do u have lot of travel history? Which area is ur MP? My frnd who is also stuck in IP about a month, got an appointment schedule this week with MP, in Mississauga area, let see what they say.

Hi Anupam

Thanks for the reply.
I was here from past 2007 to 2009 with work permit in Canada, later i moved to India, married, kid..etc.. , got PR and now I am back for good.
Landed a job recently and now applying for spouse and kid ( as i got PR when I am bachelor).

So showing the proof ....history of 2007 to 2009 , will make any influence.

Also please suggest how much min / max amount we need to show case.

Thanks

no I have not applied for GCMS and my wife does not have any travel history which is strange as it should be pretty straight forward.....
I sent them an email from my side and got that I am not authorized to get any information on my sponsorer about the status after waiting for more than a month...

I think for you a better option would have been to add your spouse and kid when you had the PR applied...now you have to do a separate one and its going to take the normal time.....well you could send them as well....but for a kid and spouse the amount becomes more so go through the calculator on their site and see if you qualify.....

Hey Myrah

What does it say on your online status on e cas...does it say medical updated as well?

Hello Chams,

You can do case specific inquiry www.cic.gc.ca where you can inquire about your file since it is already 12 months for you. They might answer your question. do you have travel history, first marriage

I just saw that exactly 50% of the applicants in the spreadsheet got their visas. Still 148 people to go.

No one is waiting "In-Process" since July except me/Chamu :'(

I did not do an MP enquiry yet but I know this much. When you do a MP enquiry, they will send you a consent form to fill and they will use that to talk to NDVO.

Thanks,

Hi Anupam,

Just checked with CIC Call centre, Seems like I dont need to show any proof of income to sponsor my family (wife and kid)
the reason they ask for 12 month period is to ensure that I am not under any social assitance.

It could be Low, It could be Max also..

// Mail from CIC...hope this helps everyone.

Low Income Cut-Off (LICO)

When you want to sponsor a member of the *family class, you must prove that you have an annual income that is at least equal to the minimum amount of income shown in the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) table.

This amount is based on your family size (i.e., number of persons in your family). On the date you sign your application, you must meet the minimum necessary income. Your income must not go under that amount during the processing of your application.

Please note that you do not have to meet the LICO for the following types of sponsorships:

· Sponsorship of a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner

· Sponsorship of dependent children who have no dependent children of their own

· Sponsorship of a child adopted outside Canada or of a child you intend to adopt in Canada

To calculate your family size, you have to count:

· Yourself and any spouse, common-law partner and dependent children, if applicable;

· Persons you sponsored or co-signed for previously and you are still supporting (i.e., the undertaking you signed is still in effect);

· The person you now want to sponsor, including their **family members, whether they will be coming to Canada or not; and

· If you have a co-signer for this application, all persons they sponsored or co-signed for previously and that they are still supporting.

If your income is not high enough to meet the LICO, you may choose to add a co-signer to your application. Only your spouse or common-law partner can be a co-signer. Together, your combined incomes can be used to meet the minimum income requirement.

Please note that the minimum income for sponsors living in the province of Quebec is different. For more information on the Quebec Income Scale, contact the Ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles.

*The family class includes your spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner, dependent children, adopted children or children to be adopted in Canada, parents, grandparents, orphaned relatives under the age of 18, and one other relative related by blood or adoption (as long as you meet the requirements).

**A family member is a spouse, common-law partner, dependent child or dependent child of a dependent child.
