vow...weird things happen at NDVO..I wanted to ask the forum members about whether it was possible to have 'in process' status while not having a passport request...and you have provided me the answer. I was worried that if I had not had a passport request, would that mean there is going to be an interview. It looks like nothing is predictable at NDVO. BTW, I wanted to ask you about your status for a long time since you and I have not had a passport request yet. Status change is a good sign for you.

NDVO likes to confuse the hell out of everyone we can never be sure what they will do next.
They waived out interview but we only got to know recently because of the GCMS notes. They had taken that decision in July but we didnt know anything about it. So, dont think too much about it.
I really hope its a good sign and that it speeds up things now. Cheers and good luck to you as well.

hi sanju1986... please refrain from orering notes at this point... best possible way to get updates are thorugh MP enquiry. We are still not clear on how the GCMS process happens at backgorund... lets not delay the process from our side by requesting status update.

If i am not wrong... they are kinda of taking applications and setting up things ... and whichever get cleared without any addtnl docs they issue visa and DM and thats why we see DM for mid april applicants... i think they are going along with application date only...if it was with passport then there are cases whose passport was sent only in october and in process since oct 23rd.. am sure they are gonna get rid of jan-april before mid november.. we are probably front in queue... hold on there.. in my case they required aditional docs and they put in process and await next date to take the file again for review... who knows you will go to DM without being in process... hang on we will reach soon...

I am also mid jan applicant. It still shows application received...their file tracking system is just hopeless it seems...Just waiting for the moment when my file catches the attention of the officer.Should have packaged my file with red bright color.. ;D ;D

Note that the Client Application Status tool is updated weekly, usually on Tuesdays.
This is on CIC website. So there is no point in checking the status daily. Well, we were doing more than once a day at times....

STAGE 1 - 1 month STAGE 2 -11 months..........total 1 year is processing time in ndvo.......so u looking at around march-april 2014..........hopefully backlog is cleared by then and u get it even earlier ....good luck

I applied for my visa in june. Application was received by the embassy on 6 june.and now i have submitted my passport in july end.sinc then i havent recieved any information from the embassy. I am really worried now.
Can you help me please and tell me how long it takes to get the visa after submitting the passpoet.everything was cleared. -pcc given medical was receives by them.
