Application was received on 22nd Feb, 2013.
Medical was done before we submitted the application, I do not remember the exact date.

Haha!! And it's not right ... But I would pay more if it could be done faster :) the agony, stress , extra travel to n fro .... Well worth an extra 5000k

I agree too, Rahul!
It would have been much better if they had something as Priority processing with extra fees.
It seems as if we all have our destiny to go through this phase.
Good luck to all of us!

Harshiddi, I don't believe getting visa has anything to do w/travel history if the applicant hasn't lived in another country for >6 months, and even these have anomalies. But I do agree that the thing that creates delays is security checks and visa approvals if such is the case. Every case is different and I'm not defending them but they have to do their due diligence no matter how straightforward it might seem.

That said, it's strange why they are taking so long to process the visa after PPR.

getting visa has nothing to do with ur travel history but security checks do have and thats what i ment while writing that post as if u have lived in diff countries evn for 2 days they can ask the reason of stay and are bound to do background checks for that... Using the passport in interpol for security check is main reason for them to send passport request so early...
