Hey,

Since its nearing 6 months from the time your file has reached Delhi , i would personally recommend you to apply for GCMS notes to see if there are any significant reasons for delay.
You can find lot of details about GCMS notes on our forum posted by myself and other members.

Good Luck

All the best to all applicants. 2011 one here. Born in Canada too. Hard working...law abiding..etc. My husband never married..very good man..long time relationship. Deemed not genuine. I refused to battle on such a silly bizarre thing. Canada does not respect marriages. Relocating to India. Fortunately I could change my practice to work there. Lots of stories of same heart break there tied to Immigration Canada. I was shown quite clearly Canada does not care about me. They also have the arrogance to believe my husband married Canada and not me. Hubby can not fly into Canada..they fear he might cling to our snowbanks. Nope. Changing his India Citizenship for a Canada one does not work for us anyways. Good Luck to all 2013 applicants.

Guddi, this is a standard passport request letter. You cannot reply by email, so DO NOT reply by email. You must send them the original passport and any other passports by courier mail ONLY at the address they have given (bottom of the last sheet). Use BlueDart or any other registered courier service. Follow the instructions carefully: print out the sheet they have sent you and send it along with your passport(s).

It clearly says "PLEASE RETURN A COPY OF THIS LETTER WITH THE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS. Documents and passports must be submitted in a SINGLE package. Do not submit any documents and passports until you have prepared the entire package. Passports should be sent by any secured mail deliverers (hand delivery will not be accepted)."
Thank you soo much for your reply.
happy today..

General information

How to make a request and required forms:

This is how to read the GCMS notes. Very valuable:

Why is the spreadsheet not updated?? This is our document to compare timelines, it would be helpful if all the info was up to date. Maybe a few people should have access as I know it is a difficult task to keep up with all the new info.

HI,
Is the mentioned address correct to mail the Passport:

High Commission of Canada- New Delhi,
Immigration section,
7/8 Shantipath,
Chanakyapuri
PO Box 5209
New Delhi 110021
India

I just want to cross check if the address is correct as i noticed the mailing address on the website doesn't has PO box no. whereas the passport request letter has one. I am addressing the parcel to High Commission of Canada- New Delhi. Is this the correct way.

Please reply.

Question my fellow applicants: if called for an interview is it nessesary to provide proof of funds?? Employment etc.. ? Is a family sponorship not exempt from proving financial means of supporting ones self? Clarify pls..

The correct address is the one with the PO box number mentioned in your PPR.

Employment may apply. Payslips , bonafide letter to prove employment may help.

Proof of funds in this case not necesary for the principal applicant in case of family sponsorship. However showing employment proof may help.
