Does anyone know about the new immigration laws? What is there exactly? I applied in 2007 and didnt hear anything from them. Just got a letter asking if I would like to continue my application or not. If I want to quit my application, they will refund my fees. Why is it for?

Anyone can write me about it?

Don't panic, this letter is sent to everyone who want to continue their application or not. Just do nothing and and do not reply if you want to continue, you only need to reply if you don't want to continue with your PR application.

thanks for the reply. But, i feel to know the new laws. Just tried to find in the site..couldnt figure it out..so far i heard, they have categorized some professions and not going to considering the rest applications than those..is it true.?.

The new laws are not applicable to the applicants who applied before Feb 27th 2008. So do you think they will still apply the new rules on you?

great...

thanks a lot for the information....i would like to know one more thing...when i applied in 2007, i was having total 16 yrs of schooling, after that, i came to another country for higher studies...i was studying another master program here, but couldnt finish that, cause i got chance in phd program and started recently..would it differ my educational points?..

one more thing, when i applied, i was in my country...so, if they call for interview, i must have to be there or i can request them to change my interview place, as where i am living now...it is mentionable that, here is also their high commission and they process immigrant visas here...

i would be pleased to have reply for these enquiries

Thanks,

I read it, but not all clear..Better, I give some information about my studies here..I have completed 3 yrs Bachelor and 1 yr Master in Political Science in Bangladesh from a public university. Then I studied 2 yrs at a university in MA in Diplomatic and Strategic Studies in Austria. But I couldn't finish that program, because of my chance to PhD program. Now, I just have started my PhD (On US Foreign Policy) in another university in Austria. How would be my point for educational background?

And something I asked in my previous question, can I conitinue my application from the High Commission of Canada, Austria? Because, I don't want to go to Bangladesh only for this interview event. They process immigration visa for some european countries in this high commission.

sorry to bother you, but i would like to be clear about my confusions.
