Hi Friends,

I have a question, as per the below information full time employments means 30 hours per week of paid work. Say if I have 40 hours of paid work per week and if I have worked in Canada for 11 months, am I eligible to apply under Canadian experience class? Because technically I have completed required number of hours for 1 year. Please help, I am confused.

"Work experience requirements

You must have obtained at least 12 months of full-time, or the equivalent in part-time, skilled work experience at NOC Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week.

This work experience must have been acquired in Canada within the 36 months preceding the date your properly completed application is received by the CIO.

You do not have to be employed at the time of your application."

No you don't qualify. You must have 12 months of experience apart from no. of hours required.

Hi All,

Am Jan 2014 CEC applicant.
Today there was change in application status from application received to In process.
Following is the summary of the online status.

1.We received your application for permanent residence on January 22, 2014.

2.We started processing your application on October 16, 2014.

3.Medical results have been received.

Paid Upfront RPRF. Just wondering what In process means?

Thanks

They have picked your file for processing , thats all it means , you are in good shape .

Even if you paid RPRF upfront did you got official request from CIC to pay it in mail ?

That's what I was wondering for you Gurindar, you paid rprf upfront, did you get a request also to pay it?

I did not pay rprf upfront and got the request 26 Sept. Paid it same day and keep checking my status online every day like a fool expecting something to have changed :)

How are things going with you? I guess we are all adrift in the boat and becalmed at the moment.

Nope i did not got the request , but as people saying RPRF request means ELIG is 100% passed - I got puzzled and ultimately ordered GCMS notes - I see my ELIG passed and RPRF also being updated .

So I feel that even I paid RPRF upfront and verified stuff with GCMS , Not getting the request is OK . I just verify with people out of curiosity to ensure that I am not the only one ;D What is your take ?

I would agree with you. It should be ok.

Personally, my take would be that the VO would check your file for RPRF status. If they see you have paid it upfront then there is no need to send you an RPRF request.

I keep wondering if I should request GCMS notes just to see what progress has been made. But then I tell myself just to wait ;D

It may help to put my mind at ease but then I will be even more impatient for progress lol
