Hello everyone !! greetings !!
I want to inform CIC about the new born birth (In Canada), I got long format birth certificate for my child, do I have to mail them by Canada post/courier or just an email with the attachment and CEC Application details will work?

Thanks in advance.

Just an email would do, please ensure you follow the required format while composing the mail.

Why do you have to inform CIC about new born? Thanks.

They specifically ask about family composition updates within request for RPRF... So upfront update might make sense as well...

Well thanks everyone for answers.
Regarding your question I will suggest read the email you got for AOR. It clearly mention you will need to update CIC if any changes happens in your family.

Hi applebite i just did email cic about the birth of our son together with his long form bc. Include in your email your name, birtdate, file number, email add and send it to the new cic email add. After that an automatic email of cic replied my email. After 2 days, cic emailed again and said taht my updated information was joined already with my application and no further documents needed at this time they will just contact me if they want more docu to be submitted. Thats it. Hope it help.

Thanks for detailed reply
