New Applicant to the Canadian Skilled Worker Visa

Hello All,

I have set on my path to acquiring the FSWC Visa and have retained the services of Attorney David Cohen in the process. After having paid his initial charges, I believe I can offically call myself an aspirant . A little bit about myself, 33 year old Indian National working in Saudi Arabia as a Financial Planning Dept Incharge with one of the biggest FMCG in the region. Have over 12 years of experience in Finance, CMA from the ICMA (US), and an MBA in Finance & International Business. Married with no children.

I have read quite a few webpages on the topic and each one of them serves only to confuse and instill doubt. Hence have decided on not reading any further. That is when i chanced upon this forum. After a few posts, i was convinced that this is the place to be. (Hence the detailed description earlier).

Looking forward on hearing from people on the same boat.

If you believe that there is something that I should know, please do drop in a line. It would be much appreciated. I am not asking due to lack of knowledge which would kick in the near future.

First Question :

Are there any certifications/ degrees that can be attained while waiting for the process to be completed? Something that could be useful once you land in Canada. As I am a Finance Professional, I would like to hear about that particular stream please.

Hello Vidya,

Well, based on the old version of the NOC, I should be applying for the 1112. However, with the latest revision on the FSWC, I am still hoping that there will be a requirement on that particular field. So 1112 till Jan 13
