net personal income

Hi. I want to sponsor my wife for a pr but i have problem under 'net personal income'.

I am currently unemployed but I help my dad out with painting and taping and get paid cash doing so. What do i put in under 'net personal income'? I don't have a notice of assesment for last year but I do have the one from the year before.

Please someone help me.

You should file taxes even if you have no income, because then you will be eligible for the GST credit. But, did you have actual income that you didn't report?

You need to bring your taxes up to date. That doesn't have to take very long.
You can probably submit it in one day. Whether you owe a lot or you owe nothing, your taxes filing needs to be current.
If you submit it very fast it won't take long to get processed.
