hello everyone,

i will land soon in Canada in Toronto ( i will land for maybe for a week then i will return to finish everything that's left in my country) and i would be grateful if anyone especially the expert and who live now in Canada could answer my questions and i hope it is the right place to post such topic and feel free to move it the right place please:-

first lets start by saying from what i heard and read about other immigrants' experiences that settling in Canada is a bit difficult and that the cost of living is a bit high as well (well, you could feel the same whenever you settle in a country or place you are new to), so my questions are as follow (and of course i ask them with respect to the country in which i will live for the rest of my life hopefully, because i want to be realistic in my expectations):-

1. the Canadian employers will hair you only if you have Canadian experience and/ or Canadian academic certificate. how much true is this? i mean most of the immigrants have no Canadian experience, so how would hunt/ search for a job and get hired if that's really true? or is it maybe the feeling of some the newly immigrants?

2. based on the above and if it is true and this will be helpful in any way, if i applied to complete my master degree or a professional certificate from Canadian university and work in any part time job, would be helpful and make it easier to find a job and in blind with the Canadian community?

3. regarding the cost of living, is it possible that because most of them came with their family find it a bit high?

4. if i will land for a short period of time is it good not to apply for the SIN and health card only when i settle finally? especially the SIN card since it is a sensitive document.

5. if i want to pick my PR card, since i will leave before receiving it, to use the travel document? i want to make sure of this info.

6. regarding my educational certificate, will i need to re-evaluate (equivalence i mean) it with WES again once i settle in Canada to get a job? or is the one i did is enough when i prepared my documents for immigration?

thanks for answering my questions in advance

If you are a US citizen, then you don't need to apply travel document to return to Canada.
