hi there,

I mailed CIO Sydney for the withdrawal of my CEC application, and this is the response I got:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Re: Application # XXXXXXXXX

Please be advised that your file was transferred to Case Processing Pilot Ottawa (CPPO). As your file is no longer in our office, we are unable to comment on it. Please direct your enquiries and additional information to that office. Their email address is:

OttPilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca

Thank you.

I am planning to send a withdrawal request to CPP-O today. However, I would like to start processing for my new application ASAP (maybe this week if possible). Can I send my new application to CIO Sydney while my previous one is still in process with CPP-O ? I have all the documents to be submitted along with another original copy of my IELTS score and original PCCs.

Yes, you can do both the tasks simulteneously.

As you have all the documents available, please resubmit your new application. And also send a mail to CPP ottawa requesting them to withdraw your earlier application. If File# is not assigned to your earlier application, you should get your application fee back. If File# is already assigned, you wouldn't get that amount back.

All the best for your new application.

Thanks for your help. Is the file # same as the application number or is it different? I have the application number that got assigned to my case when I received my AoR.

If you don't mind sharing, why are you withdrawing the application? Without sharing the reason, it would be hard to know if it's something that can be fixed by submitting a new form/information rather than a whole application. As always, the final decision is yours.

Have you considered submitting a new form with the *corrected NOC code* and an explanation that you made a mistake with you NOC code. Then ask them to kindly replace the page with the new one? Just a suggestion though.

You can still withdraw and re-apply.

If possible, update your documents and explain to them. In all cases, if they have the previous application on record, they have your information on file. If you try to send something which contradicts earlier documents, they may suspect you are misrepresenting your credentials. I recommend you seek legal advice.

I withdrew my application successfully. I am planning to send a new application with the corrected NOC code. To submit this, I need to modify my employer reference letter to add additional responsibilities so as to match with the corrected NOC code. My employer is willing to make the change.
Please let me know if it will be a problem or I can go ahead with the application?

I am planning to reapply using the NOC code on my WP (2171). Consequently, I would need to add additional job responsibilities (that I do perform) in my employment verification letter. My employer is willing to do that. I am not planning to remove any of the existing job responsibilities from the letter. My question is, will it be a problem if I reapply using new NOC code (2171) and additional job responsibilities in my employment letter? Would VOs be referring to my old application and validating it against my new application for NOC code and employment verification letter?

A quick question guys....
My DOB certificate does not have my last name on it whereas my passport and all other documents do. I am filing for my PR application in the next 10 days. Do you think it will be a problem ? If Yes, Please suggest what can be done here?

Will a newspaper cutting works as a supporting document stating my name change(it will be recent thought/not old)
