My husband and I are traveling to India via Toronto. We are Indian citizens with valid US visas.
We travel from US to India via Canada on May 18th and return via Canada to US on June 21st.
1) Do we need a separate transit visa for each way? US to India and return trip India to US?
2) What is the processing time for TRV if applied online? We live in Texas so doing application in person is not an option.
3) Are we eligible to do the ETA instead of TRV? (We are Indian citizens with valid H1B visa. No GC)

Yes, you must apply for two transit visas i.e. one for each way.

Transit visa is a type of TRV. You need to decide whether you want to apply for transit visas or regular TRVs (for tourism or as a family visit in Canada, etc).

I would apply today if I were you. Sometimes transit visas can take longer to process compared to the regular TRVs. If you intend to only transit through Canada then I recommend you fly direct from the US to India.

No, Indian passport holders are not eligible for eTAs. Only green carders (with Indian passports) can apply for eTAs
