Hi All,

My Name is Rehan. I am a Btech Graduate of Year 2010 and working since then. I am looking forward to enroll myself in george brown college for 1 Years PGDM in 2018. Now when i got in touch with consultancy ( Edwise ) they said we cannot take your case as the gap after study is more than 5 Years and suggested me to go for MBA or MS which i cannot opt.

When i consulted same with another agency ( Chopras ) they did not say anything regarding gap.
Kindly let me know is it really impossible or visa is going to reject for sure if i go for 1 Yr PGDM ?
If it is not possible to get study permit for PGDM, kindly suggest any other college in canada or in any other country to pursue 1 Yr PGDM in project management

I will give my opinion
I graduated in 2012, applied in 2017 and I got rejected for financial reasons which I will fix them later.

I have bachelor's and going for diploma which is lower level of education.
5 years gap like you
To fix the gap problem it is pretty easy
Show your employment status after your graduation and choose a course that relevant to your past studies
Take your time fix everything and you will get your study permit.NOTE THAT a lot will try to put you down.
As long as you have valid reasons to study and return back to your country ..trust me they will give it to you.

I always put this topic >> http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/some-false-information-spread-by-so-called-indian-education-consultants-t458257.0.html

Read it carefully ..think of strong study plan and statement of purpose to convince the visa officer

Best of luck

Regards,
Yildiz

Hi Yildiz,

Thank you for the information. :)
I have done B.Tech in electronics and communication and working since 2010 in IT industry. So my study gap will be of 8 years as i am planning for next year january. Now i am working as a manager in a IT company and would like to go for project management as it is of my interest and also required by industry. i really think i should qualify for getting a study permit as the PGDM is industry related. Please suggest if consultants are not taking my case how should i apply for PGDM in george brown canada.

You will need to contact colleges and universities for admission and you still have plenty of time all the best and try to go for masters if possible to avoid questioning about your gap if no other options available a strong statement of purpose would be okay I think
