Dear All,

Today, i got my ILETS scores wherein my scoring are:

(As per result sheet)
Type Band
Listing: 7
Reading: 6
Writing: 6
Speaking: 6.5
Overall: 6.5

Question:
1) Can anyone help to convert ILETS scoring into Immigration point systems? means how will an immigration officer in CIC will read this result from systems method in CIC?

2) Will CIC consider individual type score and then add-up all four score for final total points or they will just consider my Overall band score for thier point systems?

PCHC

Pls find Below:

Listing: 7 = 4
Reading: 6 = 2
Writing: 6 = 2
Speaking: 6.5= 2
Overall: 6.5 Total = 10

Cheers!!

Thank you sherman for your input

Can anyone help me to answer my (2) query as well.....

Cheers.....PCHC

Like sherman said, they will add up your score from each category for a total of 10 points. It's shown at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG74.asp

Basically you can get 4 points for a score of 7 or higher unless you are claiming French as your better language. You get 2 points for score between 5 and 6.9 so for listening you get 4 points for for each of the others you get 2 points, total 10 points. They do not use the overall score at all.
