Need to change marital status

I submitted my EE profile as common-law but need to change this to single as it turns out I misread the definition of common-law for immigration purposes and was instead using our provincial definition. Do I need to submit a new profile for this? And when we end up being common-law early next year, will I be at risk of being accused of falsifying my profile?

Can anyone help with this? I'm getting apprehensive about what to do and any guidance would be much appreciated.
