Need some information about T4

Hi can anybody plz tell me that can I apply my file under CEC without the T4 of year 2013 as I am gonna get it in jan.

hi g1,

of course you can apply now,just include a cover letter indicating that T4 will be forwarded later when produced.its obviously known to everyone that T4 starts coming out around january,there is even few employer who give them in feb and march.

You are asked to provide the most recent, so you can give the one for 2012. It might be a good idea to include a recent paystub as well.

That's exactly what I did in my application.
I included my latest T4 and NOA from 2012 tax year PLUS my latest pay stub from 2013 to show the
year-to-date earnings for the current calendar year.

The checklist was updated in October. Previously, it asked for the most recent T4 and NOC. However, now the requirement states " copies of your T4 tax information slips and Notice of Assessment (NOC) issued by CRA for the period(s) of work experience identified in your application.."

I resubmitted my application on Nov 11 without noticing this change and submitted my most recent T4 and NOC. I believe that is fine as well (I hope so).

But that still is the most recent T4 and NOA, as you don't get the T4 for this year right now. You'll get the T4 and NOA for 2013 end of this year, beginning of 2014. So there's no way you could submit those documents with your application now, is there?

It also says, OR other supporting documentation such as pay stubs. So 2012 T4 and NOA PLUS your latest pay stub from 2013 should do the trick as well.

Totally agreed! I guess you did the right thing (and 'sealed the deal') by sending pay stubs as well

My application, since I submitted in September won't be affected anyway, but I did submit pay stubs just to make
sure I submit enough proof ( apart from reference letter ) to show my 12 months experience.
