If you have never met before then you should visit each other at least once (better more than once) before actually getting married. Getting married the first time you meet increases the chances CIC will think this is a marriage of convenience - especially if there are other red flags about the relationship like the age gap and the fact your relationship has been entirely online. If you follow the plans you have now (come for a three month visit, marry, and then apply for spousal sponsorship right away), I think there's a very good chance your application will be refused. Again, I would recommend you visit each other once or twice first.

You can find out how to apply for a tourist visa here:

I take a shot at this from personal experience but bear in mind, we submitted a TRV application to be processed in Manila (not Egypt), AND it was not for my wife, but her mother after she "landed" here. I'm more concerned about what differences might lie between the two VO's involved.

1) List is too long to mention. Start an online application for TRV on CIC's web-site (without necessarily submitting it) and you'll get the idea.
2) We went with the equivalent of $5000 Canadian currency.
3) We used an "agency" in the Philippines, and from submission it took 4 days.
4) We submitted "land titles" of everything she owned AND what we owned.
5) It doesn't need to be notarized. We didn't.
6) Yes, she does. We did so.
7) So you will "marry" on your "first" visit?? This could raise a 'red flag'. To answer your question however, your initial stay will likely be authorized for 6 months.
8 Sorry, we got ours abroad. I'm not sure.
9) Some sort of 'Legal Capacity to Marry' or whatever your country's equivalent is.
10) Sorry, we got ours abroad. I'm not sure.
11) Timelines are regional. Check CIC's website for yours. (OR someone here may volunteer data from personal experience.)
12) You can submit an application for an OWP (open work permit) along WITH your application for PR, but ONLY in the case of an "inland" application (as opposed to 'outland').

Good luck. Ciao!
