1. How will be the job opportunities after the course completion?
2. How about getting a part time job on/off campus and how much I can make out of it?
3. Can we survive only with English or need to learn french?

Please answer the questions based on my profile because I things vary with education and experience.

B.Tech comp sc - 76%
IT Software engineer - 3+ years
IELTS - 6.5

Thanks in advance.

1.Employment depends on a variety of factors of which your educational credentials is one. Just getting a degree is no gurantee of a job
2.It is hard to find jobs but if/when you do expect to earn barely enough to cover your living expenses. It will NEVER be enough to pay for your intl student fees.
3.People who speak only english have a harder time in Quebec v/s those who speak both languages. Having said it, it is not impossible to survive in Montreal as a english speaker only

Everything is awesome except French language requirement in Quebec. You will get a good job in Montreal after studies, but for pr, u need a1 to b2 self which could be fucking difficult. You can get both full time and part time jobs without French but if you can speak both English and French then its much easier for you

getting full time job in ur field without knowing french is very very very difficult in quebec.....try to avoid quebec if u have hard time learning a new language. there is red tape everywhere without knowing french. parttimjob r scarce too very few people here work parttime....although u may find a parttime job without french. My suggestion avoid quebec/montreal if u dont want to learn french.

u should be able to have a conversation in french...not sure but its the law here that businesses have to give service in french too.......so if u cannot speak with customers in french u probably wont get a job...level of french is required to apply for PR also for PR u have to take their designated french tests.

Thanks every one to share your experiences.

Since many of you have same opinion of avoiding Motreal if I do not know french. Then can you please help me for windsor for masters in computer sc? It is in Ontario. My queries are same for this university and province.

Hi Mead!

I'm going for MEngg. in ECE in Concordia University starting Fall 2014.
Had a query regarding Study Permit application.

If applying for Study Permit under University category, is prepayment of first term tuition fee reqd before filing the visa or only showing the Education loan sanction letter is enough?
As far as living expenses are concerned, I have got a 10,000 CAD GIC from Scotiabank to cover my living expenses.

Awaiting your reply.

Cheers,
Willy
