As quoted earlier many times, 2 years program will fetch you 3 years of PGWP. Now, rules in black and white may make you feel that you will only get 16 months PGWP. But on the other hand, practically speaking, students get 3 years of PGWP.
So it's not about if you complete your program back to back or with gap. For example, if my program is of 2 years with 4 semesters and I drop 1 semester each year and fail in 1 semester which means I will complete my program in 2.5 years. So does it mean program length will be considered 2.5 years, no it won't be. Program length remains the same no matter how quick or how late you complete it.

When you will land here, you will get to know after you meet people who have already obtained PGWP. Not just that, 1 year program + 1 semester program also has worked for many students as they got three years PGWP.

In a nut shell, relax you should get 3 years PGWP.
