Are you over average processing time for your VO?
If you are, you will know what's causing delay when you get the notes.

Well if 6 months time period starts from the time application was "received" by CIC-Mississauga then yes, it will be 6 months, else, CIC-ND received it in March. Now as per the CIC-ND website, 6 months for 80% cases starts when CIC-Mississauga, "accepted" the application. What does accepted means here is? application "received" or they processed and made a decision...I do not know.

If your VO received it in March and average time is 6 months, you are still in average processing time. It starts when your VO receive application from Mississauga (step 2).
CIC-ND is New Delhi VO right? If so you are still in average processing time. It says 6 months for New Delhi.
Be patient month or two then order notes :)

Ahh... okay. But this is contrary to what CIC-ND has on website. Any way I have already placed as order. Either way, I will know what has happened so far and what is the BF'D for the file is. Keeping fingers crossed.

The most understanding request is Caips but GCMS is just too complicated for me...lol

o.m.g... these GCMS notes seem so difficult to wade through.

It looks like everything is good and that Mississauga recommended to waive an interview because they explained how we met etc and said that our relationship appeared to be bona fide.

The thing that looks like it's holding things up is our medicals. While our MP said that our medicals had arrived, it shows that my husbands medical is still in progress and the notes say:

IME Status: NOT STARTED.

Anyone know what that means?

I'm so lost, I was expecting CAIPS notes with codes... not GCMS notes that don't really show me why our file is sitting there.

Also, if Mississauga recommends that the interview be waived, does that mean Buffalo won't request it?

Thanks!

This whole process is kind of messed up somehow becos on most of the Caipnote are no long what it use to be due to changes.
Yet why will the so called GCMS/Caip show medical is completed, received and updated but yet it never appears on ECAS for some reason and do anyone know why?

Some people do eventually see "Medical has been received" on their e-CAS at some time during processing. The problem with e-CAS is that it's not reliable in general for outland applicants. The purpose of the e-Client Application Status project was to reduce some of the routine telephone calls to the CIC Call Centre. Heh, not sure to what extent it accomplished that.

Okay, so here is what the medical section says on our GCMS notes. Any help would be greatly appreciated because it seems that this is the only thing holding us up atm.

So basically this is what it shows... I am hoping it means that the medicals have arrived... just don't know what IME Status: Not Started means.

Any help interpreting this part would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

I don't know if I would be much of a assistance but I'll tell you what I think.

You have "Create Date" entered and under "App Status" says it's "In process" so I think that they received it.

I don't know what IME stands for...it is probably abbreviation of some kind. Under my IME says "assessed" so it's probably related to status of this part of application (medical).
Thing that confuses me is that you don't have "Validity date" and "Valid Until" date entered...

Maybe to contact some Buffalo applicant and ask for opinions? To compare?

Yes, they received your medicals but they are not yet done working on it. Status is IN PROGRESS. The last update date based on your GCMS is 2011/08/02. IME status will change to "ASSESSED" when done.. the number indicated in it is your medical report#.

App status will change to "PASSED" when completed and they will write the assessment result in DESCRIPTION as either "Excessive demand", Excessive demand Exempt", "Furthered Case". Among these 3, EDE or Excessive Demand Exempt is the Positive result meaning you passed the medical assessment... while ED Excessive Demand is Negative.

EDE – Excessive demand exempt. Applicants for immigration to Canada who, due to specific aspects of the legislation, are not evaluated or assessed for inadmissibility on the grounds of expected demands on health and/or social services.

Excessive Demand – Requirements for medical or social services of such a level as to threaten the sustainability of Canada’s publicly funded healthcare system, or deny or delay access to Canadians that would prevent the admission of an applicant to Canada.

Furthered Case
– A medical officer may determine, upon reviewing the medical documents received from a DMP, that additional or more detailed information is required to complete an applicant’s medical assessment. This additional information may be in the form of supplemental or more detailed clinical or laboratory investigations, or reports and analysis from consultants or specialists. Cases where this additional information is requested are said to be “furthered.”

It's simply Immigration Medical Exam.

So I received the GCMS notes. Did not see any problems any where. Everything has been cleared. There was a Due Date in the first week on Sept. I thought that we should hear something soon, but nothing is happening. I had filed in Feb, and in March 3rd week the appl was received by the ND office.
Any can throw some light as to why there is a delay now when everything is all set? thanks

My CAIPS notes for my medicals say In progress. But It also says IME-assessed and Discription Excessive Demand Exempt with no identified health conditions no surveillance required. So Is the medicals passed or what I dont understand because It says everything Its suppose to when you have passed but says in progress.
