I came to Canada from Englad to be with my Pregnant girlfriend, she is my sponsor on a 6 month holiday visa, untill we could sort out a conjucal visa, Want to stay here for my baby and support financially and emotionally. Any idea how I could get to stay, I have enough money to supprt myself for upto 6 more months and maybe a bit longer. But have no idea, if my visa could be changed so I could support my child from Canada not England. Any help would be appreciated.

A very desparate father to be.

why are u looking to go the conjugal route which is a difficult route especially being from England and obviously no immgration barrier as you came here is your sponsor married and you cant get married?

This category is for partners—either of the opposite sex or same sex—in exceptional circumstances beyond their control that prevent them from qualifying as common-law partners or spouses by living together

& meet a 1 yr together requiremenent.

Why not get married

If you will not be applying as a member of the family class (i.e. sponsored by your spouse/partner), then you can look into the Skilled Worker categories, also if you're under 35 there should be some kind of young people programme? I am not very familiar with it, but someone might be able to point you in the right direction.

No split up about a week ago :( was tired last night and forgot the (ex)

I am 35 in 3 weeks so the young perons visa looks out of the question.

As far as skilled worker goes I am basically ex British Army (with a trade) but there is not much call for that proffesion.

Surely under some sort of compassionate grounds I should be able to stay, and find work??
