Hi,
I have applied for PR from USA. My file is pending review at Buffalo Office. Everything was looking good till I decided to take a break and come to India on vacation. US Embassy gave me a 221g and I have been waiting for last few months. As a result, I am thinking about settling down in India for a while as US VISA seem to be distant.

The question is, if I do not come to USA and still want to continue my canadian application processing, what should I do? Should I request them a file transfer to New Delhi (processing time too high)?

Kindly help.

~Paul

file transfer takes 6months, it will delay your case, if you plan to enter back in the USA thats better option for you, otherwise tranfer file and wait for delay on your file transfer from Buffalo to New Delhi.

OMM,
Thanks.

Any idea if New Delhi processing be any different than Buffalo? Just curious.

Also, I am not sure when I will be in USA again. I guess I should submit a request for a transfer or should I let them process it first and at the time of medical, I will request them to transfer the file. Do you know if it would be ok to do that?

Regards,
Paul

Yes right now ND CHC is fast.
for example compare this:
1) ND CHC send Medical request and RPRF togather.
2) Buffalo NY First Request medical and when Applicant send Medical and CHC Recieved medical, Buffalo CHC Review medical result then after Buffalo CHC send request for RPRF. it's big difference and time consuming right now.

look the Processing time page for FSW application. Link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp

(Applications received BETWEEN November 28, 2008 and June 25, 2010)

New Delhi: 10 Months
Buffalo : 17 Months.

Thanks Again.

Since ND processing time is only 10 months and then 6 months of transfer time, it would be same as buffalo office.

Should I write an email quoting my file # requesting them to transfer file to ND office and explaining "Why" am I requesting the same?

Regards,
Paul

yes , if you want communicate with VO/CHC please write your 2nd AOR file number with all communication.
2nd AOR number is for communication with VO/CHC purpose.
write why you request for tranfer file to ND CHC, do not write long text becasue VO will not read more lines. the VO/CHC only read those part why applicant request of tranfer file. thats it.

Right, but in some cases transfer time will be vary, may be it will take 6months or may be 8months too. but maximum file transfer time define by CIC is 6Months, rest of depend on Buffalo CHC and ND CHC.

i would like tosuggest only change address , that will be safer

Omm and forum users

I have a question: When checking the CIC Website PROCESSING TIME, I see the Processing Times IN MONTHS (based on a complete application package).

When is that we start counting? 2nd AOR or when e-cas changed to In process?. I find very hard to tell because the Standarization of the Process has changed a bit. I didn´t get a 2nd AOR but my e-cas status is In Process which is supossed to be the following step... The 6-8 months theory after getting 2nd AOR drives anyone crazy.. :o

I am very glad we have guys such as PMM and Qorax who help us a lot with responses to our doubts...

Any comments?

when medical request stage will come in some cases VO not allowed to change address and they transfer the file to apllicant home country CHC. I read here in this forum before too.

read on this forum using search option: you will get some information about tranfer file, or change for address later, but my personal suggesion to you for transfer file to ND.
