when i landed to canada i was with single status

but for truth i was marrige before four months on islamic way without honey moon without anything

i want to sponser my wife now

would that be a problem for me

and what can i do to solve this problem

please i need help to know if i can sponser my wife or not

Thanks for every one will help with this problem

I'm not sure there is much you can do if you were dishonest about your marriage when you landed. If CIC knows that you were married and didn't tell them that when you landed as a PR, they will not allow you to sponsor your wife. I suppose if you weren't legally married, just married in your religion, you could get legally married now and go through the process. However, it would be hard to pretty much stage another wedding ceremony without it coming out that you already went through a marriage ceremony before you landed.

hi,
if you did not declare your wife on your pr application, you cannot sponsor her now.the only option you have is to pretend you were never married, you'd have to go back to lebanon, and have another ceremony, with a honeymoon this time, lots of pictures and family members.then come back to canada and put in a sponsorship application for your wife.

What do you mean by Islamic way?Was it not registered? Was it just a ceremony or did you register to marry her?

dud you make your marriage contract when you did nikkah? if so you may have trouble...

if you are legally married in lebanon, there is no way for you to sponsor your wife. regardless of whether you had a small or large wedding, or no honeymoon. it was a huge misrepresentation to not declare your married status when you landed in canada.

maybe if she can fall under the federal skilled worker class, she can do that process to get the permanent residency

or maybe she should just come on the visitor visa, get married in canada (i guess he will have to divorce her first in lebanon) and then they apply for sponsorship

dunno....
