Hello Friends
I am new to this forum and I have seen some posts here. I hope someone can advice me. I am an August applicant and got my medicals couple of weeks ago. I am done with my medicals. However, I have a concern. I did a blunder in february this year where I got arrested by a cop. He asked me to do a court appearance which he accidentally put before the finger prints date. I took legal advice. Lawyer told me finger prints are always before the court case. My charges were withdrawn by the court of justice within a couple of weeks. I have got a certified copy of the jurisdiction from the court. Now., I have a finger printing date due next week and I am still waiting for PPR and CoPR. Can anyone guide me if I can possibly avoid the finger printing since the charges have been withdrawn already ?
Also, If this record is going to affect my Landing or processing of my application in any way at this stage ?
Please respond guys. I am very tensed

Did CIC request for RCMP?

No
CEC Didnt ask for RCMP because I had submitted my RCMP PCC already in december last year
It was accused of some unpaid items which wasn't true so I was arrested but was released right away

So you mean you were arrested because of some misunderstanding ?? In short if you were not accused then you don't have to worry about anything.

Why were you asked to appear in court then

I was unfortunate
Officer who arrested me wasn't very helpful. The mall security guard who at some point want to be a cop I guess, called the officer who happens to be Asian. He asked me my status and I told him I am on study permit
He said we doubt of some unpaid items which at the end of the day is an offense
I have to arrest you and inform immigration while we check the videos
I told him my file is in process for immigration and it could result in a possible denial so plz confine the charges before you take any such action
He still called cic and asked them if it will affect my immigration file and officer said no it won't
It will may b affect citizenship later on if he gets convicted
Later on officer released me and asked me to
Come to the court in a weeks time
I was pissed and spoke with a lawyer who went to the court and all the charges were withdrawn
So you can say it's my bad luck or officers fault but m screwed
So I don't know if it's gonna affect my application at this stage after the medicals

So if charges were withdrawn that means you were not charged with anything. So in the end you have nothing to worry about.
