Friends:

I am an Indian Citizen. I have a quick Question. I started my immigration process to Canada in May 2003 and now the process is in a stage that embassy officers asked me to show the funds. Due to some personal issues, I want to put a pause for this immigration. My question is:

If I put a break for this immigration, Can I start it later some other time?

Does Immigration Officers will accept it or they suggest me to re-start my immigration whenever I feel comfortable?

Please guide me regarding this.

Thanks in advance for the help

Regards

You can not put the process of your file on hold. You can withdraw it and apply again later.

Once you have withdrawn and eventually reapply , you start from the beginning and so are probably looking at another 5 year wait

With the changes for the skilled worker program, it is supposed to be faster under the new system or he might find that he doesn't qualify anymore. We should see the new rules posted soon.
