Dear experts!

What is the validity of police clearance? The CIC website says medical is valid for 12 months and after that applicants might have to do another medical exam whereas for PCC it only says that the PCC should be issued not more than 3 months before the application is filed and nothing is mentioned after that. I shall really appreciate your valuable comments. Thanks!

CIC must receive the report with the application within 3 months of it being issued. If the report is older than 3 months, there is a risk of CIC requesting another one, which can delay the process.

Thanks! I submitted all my PCCs within 3 months of its issuance to the CIC. What I am worried about is my application is almost 14 months and still no news of my visa. Applying for PCCs was a pain in the neck and I don't want to go through that again! So according to your coment as long as it has been submitted within three months of issuance I am all good right? Thanks

in theory, yes, however there is never a guarantee the visa office won't request something down the line. it all depends on the specific visa office AND visa officer handling your app. at this point, all you can do is sit tight and not worry about it. if your visa office requires something, they will let you know.
