I currently live and work in the US. I worked in the US from 2020-23, and then worked in the same company in Canada between 2023-24 (1year2months) on a closed work permit. I moved back to the US in 2024 and have been working in the same company ever since.
I applied for Express Entry under CEC category and got an invite recently. However, when I applied for the EE, I selected my Job Tier as NOC 21310 (Electrical and Electronics Engineer), but based on the field description it seems like my job is more aligned with NOC 21311 (Computer Engineer (other than software engineer)).
I have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and I work as a Hardware Verification Engineer for a semiconductor company.
Is it okay to change my NOC category to 21311 in my application that I'm currently filing? Will it affect anything? I believe both 21310 and 21311 come under TEER1 category.
