Hi All, I checked my online status of CEC application with in Canada submitted 1st week of Feb 2013. The status says :

"We received your application for permanent residence on February 11, 2013.

We started processing your application on April 25, 2013.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision".

I havent been asked for any info or medicals or anything. The status just got updated like this. I am worried about this status. Can somebody pls advise what it means?.

Have your received AOR ?

Thanks for the quick reply... Yes, i received an email from centralized intake office stating "upon review of the info provided, your application is considered complete based upon the requirements of the instructions.... your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing". They mentioned the application # as well on the email.

They are obviously processing the 2013 applications alongside the old ones...

I hate to say this but as the procedures have changed it could either mean you have been deemed eligible or that you have been rejected - no one really knows at this point. Either way, please keep us updated with any correspondence you receive as it could give everyone a good idea of any new processes.

Good luck - I hope you haven't been rejected.

CIC started processing your application only on 25 Apr 2013 and a decision so quick (without Medicals) is unusual. All indications that it could be negative. Hold your nerves and hope for the best. Could also be a technical glitch in CIC ecas system.

Hi jsm0085,

which new processes you talked about? pls advise. thanks

I would say stay positive . sometime even if they send you file for further process ecas shows decision made, ecas showed decision made even for people who got medical so i wont stress too much till you hear from CIC. On the other hand god forbid even if you do get rejected take it positively as it has only been couple months and you can start again . I have seen people getting rejected after 11 months wait and have to start the process again. All the best!!

Could you please some basic info so we can have a reasonable guess?

For example, what NOC code did you use for your skilled work? Usually, a quick rejection would be if there is no reference letter for your skilled work experience, duties don't have those on NOC, or you didn't have authorization to do that work (closed work permit for something else). It could also be not working enough hours to meet 1 year full time work.

Or to be positive, this decision is to ask you for police certificates or medical tests. Or weird enough, a glitch in the system.

Hi Chacks,

Can you please post the email content here whenever you get an email from CIC regarding this?

I am specifically looking for 2 information
1) Reason for such a quick decision
2) Sender i.e. it came from the same sender as AOR(Centralized Intake Office, Sydney, Nova Scotia) or it came from Case Processing Centre, Sydney, Nova Scotia

I would like to know about this too.

just to leave my name and keep updated re this.

this is highly unusual. I hope they made a mistake adding that line to ur Ecas, and will clear it soon.

As far as my knowledge is concerned..

CPP - Ottawa started a pilot program last year in order to fasten the whole process. The select few application and feed the data into the system and the system output is -ve or +ve.

I am not sure if that is the case here ....I hope its technical glitch on eCAS ..would be corrected automatically..

Can you please provide more details of that pilot program? Any link/references that you have.

CPP-O initially was the pilot.

Not the case anymore, since the closure of Buffalo! :)

Unless Sydney is the new pilot... Haha... We will just need to wait and see!
