Hi,
I have a question, I am getting certified by OACETT as certified technician. Can this be used as certification of qualification in Canadian experience class under express entry?
Dear Sir/Madam,
Some professions and trades are regulated in Canada to protect public health and safety. This means you must have a licence or certificate to work in these professions and trades.
In some professions and trades it is illegal to work or even use the title of the profession or trade if you are not registered with the regulatory body. In other professions and trades, you can do the work, but you must register with the regulatory body if you want to use the title of the profession or trade. Professions and trades are regulated in each province. There are regulatory bodies - organizations that control licences and certificates - in each province.
If you are currently working in an occupation that is regulated in Ontario which requires mandatory certification or licensing in Ontario, you must submit proof of your certification or license. For more information on regulated professions in Ontario, visit: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/working/OI_HOW_WORK_PROF_PROFS.html
If you are currently working in a regulated skilled trade in Ontario, you must submit a certificate of qualification issued by the Ontario College of Trades. For more information on trades that require mandatory certification in Ontario, visit: http://www.collegeoftrades.ca/
These statements only apply if you are currently working in Canada in an occupation that is regulated in Ontario or if you have arranged employment in a regulated occupation in Ontario. If you are applying from outside of Canada and you do not have arranged employment in Ontario you are not required to send proof of certification, license or a certificate of qualification issued by the Ontario College of Trades.
