NEED HELP! Study permit expires three days before i'm supposed to go on vacation

Hi everyone

My study permit expires on March 31st, 2010. I'm supposed to go on vacation to Mexico April 3-13. I have applied for a new study permit (renewal), I did it online on March 3 I believe. I know I should have done it sooner but not much to do about that now. So what are my chances of receiving my new one, in the mail, before April 2nd? And if I don't receive it before that... would it be really stupid to still go? I know it's up to the agent at the airport to decide whether to let me in as a visitor or not. I'm thinking I should cancel my flight and book a new one if I get my permit in time...

You will allowed back in, but with implied status, you won't be able to attend school until you get your extension.

thanks for your reply!! im planning on staying in canada.. applying for perm res when im done school. will that implied status affect my future in canada?
