Hello guys,
I want to know about the Canadian equivalency of the following two education programs from Pakistan.
Who is entitled to achieve maximum points for education out of 25?

1:Full time MBA from Pakistan with 16 years of education including 2 years of B.COM and 2 years of MBA
2:ACCA from Pakistan
Please reply at your earliest convenience,
Thanks.

You won't get 25 points. To get 25 points you would need to have a PhD.

Whether you get 23 points will depend how your BA and MBA are evaluated by WES. In Canada a BA is typically four years (not 2).

thanks.
After my Intermediate (12 standard) I have done Full time B.COM (2 years) and FT MBA of 2 years.
So my Total years of education are 16 years.

What is the points criteria for an ACCA and it's Canadian equivalency ?? ( out of 25)

Again, you'll need to get your education evaluated to know for certain.

16 years of education in Canada is equvalent to a B.Comm (with no Masters). So you'll get somewhere between 21-23 points.

if the Evaluation of your credentials would say that your credentials are equivalent to Canadian Masters then you will get 23 points.
but if the Evaluation say equal to Canadian Bachelor then you will get 21 points.

for MBA surely it will be equivalent to Canadian Bachelor so you will get 21 and about ACCA if they evaluated it as second Degree then you will get total 22 points.

but if you are lucky and they Evaluate your Credentials MBA + ACCA based on years (18) then they will evaluate it equivalent to Canadian Masters in this case 23 total.

but remember you will never get 25 points for these credential.

so you will get minimum 22 and ,if lucky, then 23.

Thanks. What about ACCA alone? I am only asking this for my knowledge.

for ACCA they will evaluate 2 years post secondary professional study.
i but i am not sure about points.

because i have read a couple of post on this forum the applicants submitted ACCA and WES evaluated as:

"2 years post secondary professional study"

with this evaluation for ACCA you need seniors advice about eligibility.......?

I believe rather sure that they will give you the equivalence of 3 years bachelor degree in conjunction with your B.COM. Reason is that in B.COM and MBA there are many courses which are repetitive in nature as a result they almost reduced 1 year. Again ACCA is a bachelor degree equivalent qualification though it is a professional accounting designation, they will combine B.COM and ACCA together and will treat this as a bachelor degree as well. I assume you will get 21 /25 points. Not bad. The best is you should apply and see what happens.

Hello my friends,

Just need to ask a quick question.

I submitted my application to WES mentioning 4 degrees/ certificates namely MBA (Pakistan) 2. ACCA (UK) 3. BSc (UK) 4. Bcom (Pakistan).

But as I submitted my form, the email I received for the required documents included only 2 degrees/ certification. ACCA and BSc. They ignore my MBA and B.com

Does anyone have an idea why they did so and what should I do?

Really appreciate your help.
