Hi Guys,
Need your help please, is there any border where we can do an inland landing near Calgary?
We are in Saskatoon and I think the closest to us is the North Dakota via Estevan Highway, however, some of the people we know who did their landing there says that there is no scenery that we can see along the way, since its 5 hrs travel, we prefer to do a site trip along the way so we decided to go to calgary instead.
Did anyone landed in Cargary POE? Are they strict there, can you share your experiences? Since we are federal skilled, we believe that we can land anywhere in Canada though in our CoPR its says Toronto, is that correct?
Lastly, are the borders open on weekends? can we land on Saturday or holidays? what are the office hours?

Your input is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Larxace

1. Why don't you phone the call Centre 1-888-242-2100 and make an appointment to "land" at an inland CIC in Saskatchewan. There are offices in Regina and Saskatoon.

Hi Larxace,

Check the website below :

http://www.ezbordercrossing.com/list-of-border-crossings/montana/sweetgrass/

official website:

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/listing/offices/office646-e.html

If you are looking for a POE close to Calgary, then Sweetgrass Coutts would be best. You can call them for more details.....btw they are open all days (Sat - Sun Included8 am to 11Pm....but I was told not to enter at 10.55 Pm ...they will not be able to process at that time....thats okay.)

And one could do In land landing as suggested by PMM but the waiting time for appointment is currently 6-9 weeks.

Hope this helps.

our ecas status changed to COMPLETE ;D

We went to North Portal, SK border and did our landing there last Saturday, March 31st since we are already in Saskatoon.

It went very smooth, we were asked to go to the US border and told the officer there that we will do our landing in Canada, they gave us a paper with our names and we gave it to the officer in canada with CoPR and passports, we got our PR as federal skilled and we can land anywhere though in CoPR it says Ontario, we were never asked any questions, they didn't look for funds...they only confirmed our address where to mail the PR cards and phone number and that's it....

Thanks for all the help...this forum is really great...
