Hello folks, I need a rough estimation on my case.

Myself: 26 years old, male, fresh Canadian PhD graduate, no previous working, 2.5 year RA (signed letter from prof., $58000 on T4A).

Question: what is my chance to go thru FSW-PhD via Express Entry?

Thank you!

Candidates that have a provincial nomination or job offer in Canada are guaranteed a spot under the Express Entry. With your Canadian PhD, you have great chance of having either or both, so your chance under Express Entry is very high.

I think you have a good chance since you have a PhD and canadian work experience. So, if you can make sure that your RA position will be counted as work experience then you have a good chance of getting an invitation to apply.

Dont you have an option to work now in Canada since you finished your PhD there. I believe you are intaiteld to some kind of work permit for a one year duration. In the mean time you can apply for Working Holiday visa also so you can get one more year there. In two years you have to work one year and one day in skilled occupation so you can apply for a CEC. I dont think that will be the problem since you have Canadian PhD.
