Hi everyone,
I am planning to apply for study permit/visa in next few day,I have few questions/doubts,can you please help me in this regards.

I went through VFS website which says -"If possible, a passport should be valid for the duration of study in Canada, as the validity of a study permit cannot exceed the validity of the passport"

My passport will expire on 4 Sept ,2012 and I am need a study permit/visa for three year ( till ~ December 2013),What can be done in this case.

Another question - Do one need to take appointment before visiting VFS office

Web site says "Please provide only photocopies of all documents, as we do not guarantee the return of any original documents." however I also read that original acceptance letter should be submitted, can someone please clarify.Soft copy of acceptance letter will work as it will take time for hard copy to arrive.

Another question I have is - can dependent apply for study permit by giving letter of explanation though she do not have acceptance letter form any school in Canada.

It will be great if you can answer my questions.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
