Need help in renewing my work permit

Hi All,

My employer recently contacted (via phone) Service Canada and they said that my LMO has been approved(but I don't think my office got anything in fax or mail yet).
My current post-grad work permit expires on Sept 25, 2011 and I know I need to get an application out before this date in order to be able to work post-this date. I have applied for CEC PR but hasn't been processed yet.

In any case, if I know that my LMO has been approved, can I still apply for a work-permit or do I need something in writing from Service Canada to support my work permit application.
Moreover, anyone who has applied for a work-permit, can you please post the entire process for the application. I intent to apply online. I guess what I am looking for is that when does CIC ask you to provide document (I know we need to package them somehow into a file less than 2MB or something). Please let us know how to do that.

Hey man, not an expert in this matter at all but just wandering if LMO is approved, Can't you travel to their office and ask them to provide a copy or call thrie number and ask for a copy ASAP by explaining your situation.

LMO confirmation will be sent to the employer. The employer must give a copy of the positive LMO to the worker of him/her to include with their WP application.

hi, what is the reason why your employer still doesn't have your lmo? you should ask your employer to ask hrsdc to fax the lmo. if in anycase, you still don't have your lmo a week before your work permit expires, you must submit your work permit application without lmo. you can always call cic once you get your lmo and give them the confirmation # of your lmo. they will just put a note on your record that you have a lmo confirmation #. i've done that twice already. i sent my work permit application even if i haven't applied for lmo yet. ;D
