Hi,

I'm trying to create my Express Entry profile and I'm unsure as to what NOC I should choose for work requirements.

My job title is Construction Project Coordinator which falls under "Construction Manager - NOC 0711". But since I'm an entry level/junior employee, my work duties match only some of those listed under that NOC but not the upper management tasks. Another job code that seems relevant is "Civil Engineers - 2131" but since I work in construction, only some of my job duties match the NOC duties. I have completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering which is the education requirement for both NOCs.

I believe I would be more suited to Civil Engineers - NOC 2131 because I'm not in a management position however my job duties and title relate more closely to those listed under Construction Managers - NOC 0711.

My job duties are as follows:
- Issue tender documents for pricing
- Distribute change notices, change directives, Sis to trades and obtain quotes from trades and site
- Maintain and update log for RFI, CN, SI, RFE, and CO
- Prepare quotes in Jonas
- Collect SHP DWGS from trades
- maintain and update shop DWG log
- review shop DWGs, samples and other submittals if in accordance with the specs
- gather close-out documentation for the O&M manuals
- coordinate with sub-trades and site superintendents regarding completion of deficiencies on the project

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I used 1225, but I am still waiting for a response on the Eligibility requirement from IRCC. Did you already submit your application?

Can anyone provide an update here? I'm in a similar position (Assistant Project Manager) but because I'll be taking on a Project Coordinator and Project Engineer role. Appears like 1225 is the closest match at this stage.

I have a Master of Construction Management.

Contract Specialist.
From what I understand in the NOC website, your NOC code is determined by how closely the listed duties match your own. If a non-management job back home is considered a management job in Canada, why not do that? You could always include a letter of explanation in your PR application to explain your situation.

Then again, I'm not an immigration consultant, lawyer, or specialist of any kind.

Hello,
Can I know which noc did you choose finally? My responsibilities are exactly the same as you and I'm a junior project coordinator in construction company. My master is in construction management.
Thanks

Contract Specialist.
Thank you for your help. But I couldn't find the title of contract specialist under noc 1225? It should be the same as the titles of noc 1225? I'm a junior Project coordinator in construction and would like to know what is the closest title for that? Thanks

Hey, congrats on your PR. I was just wondering why didn’t you simply use the Construction Project Coordinator position under NOC code 0711? Please advise because I am currently working as a project coordinator for a construction company and need to choose the NOC. Thank you.
